Speaker Bio:

Ron Mathis has been working in the information technology industry for over 20 years with an emphasis on network design, implementation, and security. Ron has over 10 years of experience in Information Security. Prior to PTP, Ron was the Director of Vulnerability Assessment Services for American Management Systems (AMS). At AMS he performed web application vulnerability assessments against high-profile on-line transactional systems such as on-line banking, electronic trading, and other e-commerce systems for Fortune 50 clients. He served as the Vice President of the Vulnerability Assessment Division, successfully exploited dozens of the largest financial systems in the world and created, maintained, and evolved the Web Application Vulnerability Assessment product from scratch his former company’s most successful product line. He has managed and led teams to design and implement Enterprise Networking Systems comprised of more than 40,000 nodes for a large financial institution and a department within the federal government. Additionally, he served as one of three “core team” engineers on the $500 Million dollar outsourcing contract to develop, update, and enforce all information technology standards. Ron has spoken at various security conferences, provided “hacker” training classes at SANS, and Black Hat, and has been interviewed and quoted by several news organizations including CBS News, ABC News, FOX News, and Swiss Television.
