The Sacramento ISACA chapter is pleased to welcome Michael Carmody!
Due to the high degree of organizational reliance on IT, it is crucial that
internal auditors understand how to create the IT audit plan.
As technology becomes more integral to the organization's operations and
activities, a major challenge for internal auditors is how to best approach the
assessment necessary to create the plan.
This session will discuss what auditors need to do to understand the
organization's IT environment, and how to perform the assessment and develop the
audit plan: including inventorying and understanding the IT environment, and
performing an assessment to determine what needs to be audited and how often.
Ultimately providing the foundation internal audit teams need in order to
identify areas in the IT environment that should be part of the IT audit
universe.
